☄ First Impressions ✿ VISUAL: here! ✿ FASHION: Aerith can nearly always be found in the outfit shown under her visual, but when not in that she tends to stray towards cute but comfy clothing. Aerith likes looking cute, but she won't put style over her comfort. For example, she manages to walk around in heels on one occasion, but it's not familiar and not her preference. ✿ DEMEANOUR: Spunky, playful and sweet - all of these make up who Aerith is at first glance. No matter the situation, she nearly always remains positive and upbeat, doing what she can to cheer up everyone around her. It's not always immediately apparent on the surface, but spend enough time with her and you'll begin to notice her wisdom and a penchant for knowing more than she should. ✿ SOUND: Aerith is voiced by Maaya Sakamoto in Japanese, and you can hear her here! (I don't pay attention to EN... sorry...... maybe I'll dig up a clip later) ✿ SCENT: She smells like flowers because of how much she works with them and has them on her person. ✿ MENTAL INFORMATION: Aerith is very sharp in a street smarts way, but there's also a lot that she doesn't know because of how sheltered her early childhood was before spending the rest of her time in the Midgar slums. Highlight for spoilers, but she also seems to have knowledge of her future timeline/the original Final Fantasy VII timeline. As of writing this, it's still unclear how or the extent of what she knows. Because of the spoiler text in particular, please give me a heads-up before reading her mind! ✿ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Aerith has some inherent powers from being half-Cetra, but is also a powerful spellcaster and healer in her own right. Certain aspected spells, such as Blizzard and Cure, require a materia for use; the most powerful, legendary spell that Aerith has access to as her birthright, Holy, is currently inaccessible to her as she is right now. The following are the abilities that she has access to without materia: Powers as Cetra: Aerith is capable of communing with the planet and being in touch with the lifestream, and that translates in a number of ways. Some of her powers have weakened since she was a child, but back then she was able to sense loss of life and hear people's spirits before they passed on. It's unclear how much that particular skill remains, but what's notable in the present day is the ability to sense damage to the planet, and to be able to communicate with flowers and animals. Limit Breaks: Limit Breaks are powerful, "ultimate skills" available to the entire party, but take a considerable amount of time to store up energy for each one. For Aerith in particular, hers seem to be directly connected with her Cetra bloodline, since when she utilizes them she seems to be praying and "asking" someone for aid. Healing Wind surrounds Aerith in a green wind that circles around her before spreading out to the rest of the battlefield, healing half of the party's HP. Planet's Protection sends out blocks of pink, fleur-de-lis-covered energy that nullifies all damage for party members for a little over a minute. Magic projectiles: Unlike in the original Final Fantasy VII, Aerith does not strike directly with the Guard Stick or whichever weapon she's using; instead she sends out small balls of projectile energy from the tip of her staff. Tempest: A charged attack, flower petal-shaped magic explodes on an enemy. Soul Drain: A pink orb is sent out to deal a small amount of damage and drain MP to restore Aerith's. Arcane Ward: A purple flower-shaped ward is placed on the ground; any offensive spells cast within it will cast twice. ☄ OOC ✿ BACKTAGGING: always! I'm slow myself so I need to do it pretty often too. you can tag me back on something from months ago and I'll still be happy and excited, I don't care how long it's been ✿ FOURTHWALLING: For my own sake, I'd prefer to keep this extremely limited! Possibly okay under certain circumstances, but talk it out with me beforehand. Characters recognizing her from crossovers and other materials is always welcome, though this particular iteration of Aerith will likely not recognize the other person ✿ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: None! Warnings before any heavier content, such as suicide or rape, would be highly preferred, but I'm able to handle the topics on an OOC level. ✿ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Absolutely okay! She loves both doling out and receiving physical contact ✿ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Let me know first if it might lead to death, but generally always okay! ICly Aerith will always try to find an alternative method that doesn't involve violence, such as talking things out, but OOCly I always love a good fight ✿ RELATIONSHIPS: I love doing shippy stuff so yes! I do enjoy buildup, especially in games, but for the sake of memes and psls I'm happy to jump into stuff a little faster! Cross-canon is always loved, and as for canon ships you can find my shipping prefs here (though I may end up including some things or shifting them around as I dig back into more FFVII content, as it's my first time being back in many years); if you don't see your character on there, that means I'm either neutral about it or haven't considered it, and most likely I'll be down to try it if you ask. ✿ WARNINGS: There are some mentions of human experimentation in Aerith's past, though the chances are very low that she'll ever bring it up on her own, and never in explicit detail. That's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head that might need a warning, but please let me know if anything else comes to mind! ✿ SPOILERS: Aerith comes from the end of Final Fantasy VII Remake, so please let me know if you would like to avoid spoilers! Likewise, I have not played any version of Crisis Core, so please do not spoil me for it and bear with me until I am able to play or watch for myself. GET CODE HERE
